- FRACS, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Knee Surgery
- Dr Myles Coolican specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee.
He has particular interests in total knee replacement and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
Dr Coolican performs surgery at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and The Mater Private Hospitals in Sydney.
Dr Coolican has presented at over 25 national and international meetings of scientific
societies and published over 5 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals.

- Dr David Parker specialises in surgery of the knee joint, including particular
interests in arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction and knee replacement.
Dr Parker performs surgery at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and The Mater Hospitals in Sydney.
Dr Parker has presented at over 15 national and international meetings of scientific societies
and published over 10 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and text books. He has been
awarded 6 awards and fellowships.

- Jowveria coordinates all the research projects run by SORI. She liaises with
collaborative partners and oversees the procedures and updating of data and projects. Jowveria is also
responsible for overseeing SORI’s university work experience students.
Jowveria completed her B Biomed Eng and B Med Sci from the University of Sydney and has a keen interest
in orthopaedic devices, in particular knee replacement systems.
- Dr Jonathan Negus

- Dr Jonathan Negus is currently researching the rehabilitation of patients who have
had a total knee replacement or an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. He is investigating current
practices and new techniques.
Dr Negus originally trained in the UK in Cambridge and London, and has now worked in Australia for 3 years.
He is on the Australian Orthopaedic training programme (SET) and is currently a full time PhD student at
the University of Sydney.
Dr Negus’s work has been presented at national and international meetings of scientific societies and
published in peer-reviewed journals.
